Google Classroom was NOT created for parents…but they can still use it!

It is important that teachers explain how parents can use Google classroom to support their student during the school year. 

Helping parents understand Google Classroom and showing them how to stay informed on their student’s classwork is a simple thing that you can do to foster a positive relationship with the parents in your classroom. 

While Classroom wasn’t designed for parents, it does contain some helpful features that parents and guardians can use to support their students during the school year.

This PDF guide to Google Classroom provides parents with an overview of the core features of Google Classroom as well as instructions on how they can begin receiving guardian summary emails.

This guide can be sent to parents via email, Remind, or posted to your class web page. 

When combined together, the guide and video provide guardians with a comprehensive overview of Google Classroom and suggestions for how they can use this information to support their student.
