Classroom Diagrams with FigJam

November 20, 2023 by John R. Sowash

Graphic organizers can help students understand complex systems like photosynthesis or branches of government.

As a science teacher, I used to have my students draw concept maps for complex topics like the Krebs cycle and mitosis. I found that physically drawing connections between ideas helped them better understand these complex cycles.

FigJam is a free design tool that you can use to create simple diagrams and graphic organizers in your classroom and can serve as a replacement for Jamboard when it is discontinued in 2024.
